You need a flywheel, clutch, pressure plate, transmission, driveshaft, diff, and axles from a turbo. Flywheel needs to match your engine's internals

OR

N/A to TII driveshaft and turbo diff and axles.

No I want to use a n/a transmission. So from the driveshaft back. I have a complete s5 turbo car for parts.

So is there a place to get the n/a to turbo driveshaft or will a n/a auto driveshaft work?

You need a driveshaft from Mazdatrix that will mate your N/A trans to the T2 rear end... as the poster above mentioned.

port the holes on your na driveshaft to "wollow" out the holes im running a s5 turbo diff in a s4 na car... you will need the correct axles..

Why do you want a turbo differential? Of course for the limited slip, but some 88 n/a diffs are stock lsd. Are you going to upgrade your powertrain? And if so, to what? N/a lsd is more than capable for a modified n/a
You will need:
Turbo axles (150.00)
Custom driveshaft from n/a tranny to t2 rearend (350.00}
Imo its worthless to get a turbo rearend when you can get a n/a lsd from a 1988. look into shimming a lsd, it will work wonders

No thats not the reason. I recently got an old car of mine back but it has a bad rear diff in it. Its bad. I dont have a spare na rear end. I do have a complete t2 car with no motor. So I was seeing how to put that diff in so I dont have to spend money to get another na one. Has any tried to use a auto na shaft. I heard that will work?

So if I use the 87-88 turbo flywheel it will match the 86-88 na rotors and balance out? Have a couple of those and 4 turbo tranny's

yes but if you dont need to to replace your. tranny/ flywheel/ drivshaft.. just open the holes on the na driveshaft the na mounting holes are smaller than that on a turbo diff so open them towards the outside edges you can make this work.. durring my build i swapped in a whole s5 turbo subframe diff and all not relizeing it wouldnt work. so when i went to put up all my na tranny and drivshaft it didnt line up i was told my a buddy just to wollow out the holes a touch. works great!! im telling u.. no money spent on any custom drivshaft or removing flywheels.

Upside of swapping the TII trans/flywheel/driveshaft/diff/cv axles - stronger, taller gearing (iirc) for more relaxed highway cruise. Cheap because you sound like you have all the parts.

Downside: heavier, taller gearing and weak NA torque = slow acceleration.

I have done the "drill the holes" thing when going turbo trans to n/a rear.. But never the other way around... When going from turbo trans to non turbo rear I had to extend the holes toward the outside of the flange.. My assumption would be that to go N/A to Turbo rear your would do the opposite... (but my memory may be a little foggy as I did it 8 years ago.)

Place the driveshaft on the center spline and mark the holes with a paint pen...

But the right way is to buy a new shaft. And the bonus about buying a new shaft is you can then change U joints as needed.
