what to check for?
Im looking to get another TII rx7. ive found one for sale, but its been sitting in storage for 6 months. what should I check for to make sure its in good condition? and is a rotary sitting for this long good for it? im gonna do the usual compression check, but wondered if sitting for so long would cause some damage to the seals or anything.

Aaron Cake created a excellent guide upon picking up a 86-91 turbo II rx7!
Have a look

Btw to answer your question, my friend has kept his rx7 in storage for almost a year + ran with no problems. Although, I do not know if its healthy or not.

im also wondering if the apex seals/side seals get dried out or more fragile from sitting and not being used. if I was to do a compression check and it turns out good(three even swipes), does this mean the motors still good. I wont be able to actually start it to see if it runs(missing AFM) but am able to crank it. how can i tell if the motors still good??
