Hey Dave, will you be bringing some CF items with you to the Revolution to sell?

Also I was wondering if any updates have come around on a factory style carbon rear wing. And do you or does anyone have a picture of the CF radiator panel mounted on the car?

I also had a question about a custom made CF radio surround. I've had mine fiberglassed in to custom fit my head unit, profecb, and sub level dial. Will end up fiberglassing in the ashtray possibly for the A/F gauge. If I could send you my surround could you make a CF version or would it be super expensive since it's a one off deal?

I don’t want to sound like an *** but the subject about a carbon radio surround has come up about a million times. With all the “I am in the process of building one right now” responses I have seen typed, I have yet to physically see one in person or even a picture on the net. So lets see one I would be interested to see what it would even look like but if your not truly building one please stop saying you are. But even if it was produced I doubt the average FC owner would be able to buy it due the price it would cost to make it.

Keep up the good work Dave I love that gauge holder and to be honest with you for the quality and fit that is a very good price . Might have to get one for Seven Stock 7!!

Yes I will be bringing some stuff out to the Revolution, and it will be marked down for the event. Our carbon guy can do just about anything. Price would depend since he would have to do a mold off of yours just for the one piece, so yeah it would be pretty spendy. We are paying for all the molds of these parts. As for the wing, he is working on that. He wants to finish the side skirts first, then focus on finishing the radio surround, then the wing, sunroof, radiator panels etc.

coool beans.....fc3s---i think you guys should get your hands on a T2 reverse scoop and have that made in CF, make some bones doing that (im not willing to ) and yes guys everytime i have said iw as going to make somethign i have come thru just for the sake of making the thing, and i could take some pics but it was just a screw around prototype i laid up in five minutes to see how it would work out and nothing work taking pics of. II used just a regular resin and didnt really even attempt to get the weave straight. Ill post some stuff up later and expect some progress this weekend when i am off of work.

The old TII hoods are no more. All the new TII hoods are going to be Fiber Images. The N/A hoods will still be through the old hood maker. The new designed hoods will also be through Fiber Images.

I think it is cool Dltreezan (and others) are making more parts too. Not only is the competition good for the customers, but it allows the owners more choices and parts to choose from That is my whole goal for making parts. Our whole cars should be CF before long

i think you should make a reverse cowl scoop for the t2 hoods in CF, youd make some money. As far as the stuff I am making i just threw some quickie stuff in the mold to play without so i dont have anything seriously nice and even when i trimmed the edges i cut a bit too far so it isnt anything to display yet. I will be making molds of the stereo console and the speaker surrounds on the strut towers in the rear this weekend

I have a N/A hood so the location doesnt matter. If ur maker does their ****, ask them to get the molds off them and make some of those but more flush looking so it looks like its part of the hood. thx.

So you are just wanting the rerverse vents then, not actually to replace the stock TII scoop? If so, then that isn't a problem at all. I'll just have him make some of those vents for me.

if you do the radio surround, make the radio hole a standard size din with some legs to secure the sides of the radio, then we can just install the radio cage right into the unit and not have to play around with sill install kits that will just ruin the look.. then make the remaining space just solid so that people can install gauges/1/4 din units as the wish

That line was only on the prototype. It hasn't been like that since.

But no, the fiber images hoods will be perfect. Those are the makers of the hoods that they have video of them driving over them, and no damage is done.
