i also beat an RS impreza from a dead stop. It got the jump on me (awd) but i caught up and won by less than a car length. That was with a slipping clutch.

beat a few geo metros out there had a good run with a pinto once. though I have had my *** handed to me by a fiesto, did not know he was racing though.


but honestly I have beat v6 mustangs and camaros, many probe, civic SI hatchback. and of course my ex/gf in her beretta

I have beaten civics/crx's, mustangs, camaros...and just yesterday I had some fun with a Corolla GTS on the highway and in Regina raced a white Celica(late 80's?) and killed it.

from a dead stop i have beaten firebirds, probeGTs, new miatas, crx, talon/eclipse, celicas...and about 4 or 5 mustang 2.3s a week! lol i race alot of probeGTs and CRXs since all my friends have 'em.

Mustang GT's (5.0 and 4.6), a turbocharged Neon (~250 hp), various modified Civics, Accords, Intrepids, Saturns, etc.

I count both straight line and curvey roads.

I outcornered an N/A Audi A4 just yesterday with my bone stock suspension in an '86 GXL.

I don't take much off the line bacause I'm not much of a stop light racer. I find all my races once rolling along and either coming up to or having other cars come up to me.

I can outcorner almost anything either because I'm in the RX-7 and I know the limits of it or I just don't get scared entering a corner at any speed.

Mods:
straight pipe
hks intake
electric fan
strut bar on bedroom floor

Not the greatest car for drags but it corners just like a TII and brakes just like a TII.

Always beat a stick shift 3.1 beretta GT, KILLED a stick neon sport, older supra turbo, my GF's 2001 Civic DX (gee...) Got beat (by half a car each) by a Late 90's Taurus SHO V8, and by a modfied Iroc Z. I am ALWAYS even or behind most cars in first gear, then start to blow by them by the time I reach 5000 in 2nd gear.... then gone.....
I want to start racing faster cars, but nobody ever wants to race...
(They probably know they will go deaf!)

yea, pretty much the same. I can beat v6 mustangs , camaros, eclipes gs, I even beat a 99 mustang GT, converable and auto though. A few miatas, older 5.0 mustangs(stock) and as for the Probe Gts, I can beat stock ones, but my friend has a 93, with just cold air intake and a borla echaust, straight through test pipe, and he hands me my ***, takes me by a good 3 carlengths up to maybe 100, so dont fruck w too many of them

the loss that made me the maddest was a new Grand Am GT. He just kept pulling away from me from a dead stop. On the track though I kept up with a newer bmw m3 he pulled me on the straights but I was on him in the corners. It made me smile I don't think he liked it though.

5th and 6th ports

with a test pipe in place of my cat, and high flow mufflers i am not sure if my 5th and 6th ports will open. I have a 1988 SE. Also do i plug the end of that aluminum rod going from the cat to the back of the engine? or do i leave it open, i knwo this is what reads back pressure and helps control polution, do i plug it or leave it open? also, how do i wire open my 5th and 6th ports so that they will always stay open, and how can i test to see if they open now without them wired open, that is the 5th and 6th ports

ALSO if i put fuel injectors from an 1989 wouldit run better? i need all the help i can get,

Damn this is old huh. I went neck and neck with my friends integra that had intake, header, straight pipe to a 5" muffler. Think thats all it had. O ya, I was bone stock. Won't happen anymore because my car is broken down and his caught on fire & was totaled.

the closest race i had with my 91 n/a was with a 2000 honda accord two door V6. hmm, yeah i think they are V6...close to if not 200 hp. 0-60 in 7.2 seconds. we both rolled off the light and nailed it after looking at each other. up to 90 we were DEAD even...then had to slow cause of traffic.

i also raced a GSR with intake/exhaust and he pulled about 1 door length on me from a 5mph roll to about 60. not too bad

Only wish I knew, started running real hot and then battery wouldn't hold a charge. Real problem is that everything has been checked &/or replaced. (Brand new battery and brand new alternator with new brand new terminals; replaced water pump, flushed coolant, checked fan clutch, changed radiator cap, checked hoses) Can't find the damn problems so its going in the shop after Christmas, gotta make sure I have enough $$$ to get people gifts.

Closest race for me was a NA 300zx. He had intake, exhaust, maybe more?
We were dead even until the top of third where he fell back to my door.

This was the 86 Sport... street port, intake, exaust -- seriously starved for more fuel!

I beat a 89' 300zx turbo, 92' 5.0 mustang w/ intake, 96' mustang GT, 98' camaro Z28 with intake & exhaust etc, 99' Porsche Boxster, 86 camaro iroc with $6000 in mods ( only up to 80mph though:o ). Ofcourse these were full blow races, i talked with half the ppl after races. the mustang 5.0 and Gt were auto's and so is the IROC & the Z28. The Porsche and Z were sticks.
