What is a 90 Convertible going for?

I have a '90 convertible (Harbor Blue) with 37K that i owned since new. all original except K&N, Borla cat back, and MSD wires.

Car is just about perfect, never in accident, no bondo etc. Stored winters etc.

Roughly what can I expect to get if I have to sell it?
Thanks,
TR

Sounds like a winner, you could probably get some good money with the condition it's in

Thanks Spyder for the best indication of value - what you actually paid for a similar car. I guess I will grab the 7500 my buddy offered me. that is after I sell my 68 Firebird Convertible of course.

Vaughnc, when I bought the car in the summer of '91 the dealer offered me a choice of a stick or auto. both were blue, and both were the same price.

He tried and tried to convince me to take the automatic. I traded my 86 GXL with about 80k and the original clutch for the convertible with the clutch just like the 83 & 85 I had before that. I bought three new cars in my life an 85 GSL, the 90 Convertible the third has four doors so it doesnt really count since I had more fun picking up the four used RX7's ive owned.

If you found the right buyer you could get more than $7500. It could take a while though.

You might have to wait for a LONG while. That price range is REALLY hard to sell. I have a '90 vert that I have been trying to sell for quite some time. I would keep it if I were you. You will end up wanting another one later anyway....

Well, I ended up trading my vert for a rebuilt SP T2 w/ all goodie add-ons. But, I still plan to get another vert hopefully before next summer for a T2 swap.

Good luck!

JM,
I have a 68 Firbird convertible that I restored, and owned since '76. I have the RX7 convertible that I owned since new. My wife is preggo (so Im starting late in life). She was rear ended two years ago in her escort. now she cant sit in the firebird for more than 10 minutes.

I dont drive the bird, and cant take the wife & kid in the RX. I decided to part with my long time friends (bird & RX) and buy a clean 325/328 convertibe. seems like that is the happy medium. Now I just have to sell the bird. once the bird is gone I will focus on selling the RX.

If I get a super clean BMW with a hardtop I may get rid of the 944 too. figure I could autocross the bmw, buy my brothers older 944 for 1/2 what i sell mine for and turn that into a weekend warrior/track car.

hows that for planning?

Dave,
Thats what they said about my Firebird. Look at what early Z's are going for. I don't see a significant rise in value, although I hope for whoever buys mine there is a rise in value
