Went to look at my future project 2nd gen today

For those of you who didn't follow my last thread, I have been trying to convince a guy I work with to sell me his 87 NA. He's been having problems with it and can't figure it out. Went to look at the car and found some problems with it.

Oil leak at the banjo fitting to the cooler. Seems easy to fix.

Crack in front windshield all the way across. Will this have to be fixed before I can auto cross it? About how much to have it fixed or replaced?

Transmission pan leak. Is this an easy fix?

All the grounds were stock. I think that's where the slight hesitation has been coming from. After some sea foam and fresh gas the major hesitation went away.

Body has seen better days, but I'm not too concerned with that. Tires have plenty of tread. Stereo barely works. The last guy that owned it bought a shorter belt and no longer runs the ac compressor. I was thinking of offering 700 for it. Well, maybe 600 if the windshield is too damn expensive.

if it is a big crack in the windshield, i dont think is safe ( u dont wana get pull over for a broken windshield , do you?). im replacing my windshield and the autoglass charges 230 installed, or 130 for the new windshield only . local junkyard =70 but they dont assure you that it will not break when they are trying to get it out. i probably will end up buying a new windshield and put it on myself.

The oil cooler was another small worry. Can't narrow down the leak too well. But I can get one through work for about 80 bucks. Don't know if it will fit right.

Damn, why so expensive? I had a cracked windshield, replaced for $120 installed. Im sure its not an OEM windshield, but I don't see how an OEM windshield would really be any better quality.
