Weird TPS reading with LED lamps.

1- I stop my very warm car, let it on "ON". Plug the LED lamps : both are lights are on.
2- Then, I open the throttle and let it go down : only one light is on, like it's supposed.
3- I push the throttle towards the TPS just I little bit and both lamps get ON.
4- Then I open the throtle and let it go, only 1 lamp is ON.

I can repeat the cycle as long as the engine is hot !

It gives me the impression that the throttle doesn't go down completely when I let it go on it's own. Tried to adjust it so that only one lamp is on all the time, but I can't.

The resistance in the TPS is precisely at 1k.

My Question : is that normal ?

The setting of the TPS using LED's is with the engine HOT and idling. IF the key is just to ON, don't pay much attention to the LED''s.

What makes the diff is that the pressure sensor isn't recieving vacuum when the key is to ON and engine OFF. Makes a difference.

On the other hand, if setting the TPS using the voltage output of the TPS, then all that matters is the engine being HOT. But the key can be to ON, engine OFF, or idling if doing things that way.

yea, engine warm-up. plug in the device, turn the engine off. go back into the engine bay and play with the TPS to see where the ONE LED is. then turn the screw towards that way, then when you find the ONE LED. make sure you find the center point of the ONE LED, eg. full turn clockwise/counter-clockwise before the ONE LED turns off or has TWO LED, go back and find the center point.

good luck!
