I know which areas you're referring to, but can't picture how nuch can be cut

I would have to see a copy of a scale slip from a CERTIFIED SCALE, to believe this, not saying it can't be done but the components listed do not add up to 500+ lbs.

Why do we need to see scale slips?
I beleive him, and if you don't, what does it matter if he is lying?
this isn't affecting your life or car so why care?
I'm not trying to flame, I just don't understand what the point is.

You guys can ask alot of people here that seen the slip I got.. Mizike saw it .. Capt Wankel saw it..

The really fuuny part is everyone cliams that RX7s weigh 2645 or so for a S4 base model.. however when I got my car the title said right on it 2425.. so maybe 2187 seems more real now?

All I know is I took at least 5 garbage cans full of **** outta my car...in the past year...

Because he is making a claim that is out of line with reason, If its true I want to see how he did it with keeping the interior intact

I will try to explain the cutting I did, as my friend lost the pictures off the digital camera.

Let say you have the battery out and the battery box.
you will a small hole for a wire harness to pass through under the lights. each side has the same hole, with a rubber flapper.

I cut from the hole over to the side of raditor support and cut down till I hit the ledge of where the battery box sits, or the factory air box. Then I cut the other side of the current hole over till I came very close to the fender. So now you have a hole all the way across from raditator and fender. Then I cut a semi circle out of the ledge when the battery box sits. I did not cut into the metal that is overlapped for strenght, basically the frame rail, or unibody rail.. This gave me about a 10" around hole in each side under the lights. I ran 2 4" ductings from the front fasica to my cold air box and my cold air header box.. which works great by the way.. thanks to my SCCA buddy..

A cold air header box, is basically a box with a top and a side. I made the box from carbon fiber material. The bottom of the box is open as the pipes are down there.

The front of the box has a 4" duct that directs cold air onto the headers, the air flow is controlled by either movement forward or a fan that is hooked up to a switch that I can turn on while I am sitting still. This makes sure all the hot is being blown out under the car and not allowing for heatsoak.. This one mod made such a difference in the temp under the hood, the temp of the intake is alot cooler now.

Wow that's pretty cool
how much did that cost material-wise and how hard was it to make?
I have never had experience working with CF

He is an older guy.. he raced RX7s many years ago, maybe as much as 3 years ago or so..He is slowly allowing me to strip parts from his cars.. as he is into go karts now..

He raced many classes.. He has a AWD 323 Turbo that is Bad ***.

I will ask him what classes he runs....I don't have a clue about classes at this time..

He has 2 RX7 race cars and at least 3 other race cars, plus 2 gokarts with motorcycle engines that he or his bud race also.
