Weight of the Hood Latch System

:see title:

Anyone know? Because I can only get the TII hood (in a few MONTHS now) or keep my heavy assed steel N/A hood... I decided to look into making one out of fiberglass, and using some aircraft fasteners to hod it down (a bit more secure than hood pins)

seeing as I'm not a riceboy, when I put hood pins on, I'm taking off the actual hood latch system, and am curious about how much weight I'll save.

It does not weigh much. I did not weight it but I know at one time I held the latch, bracket, cable, handle in my hand and it was not a significant amount. I am guessing around 4lbs.

Just as a side note the rear latches are probably around the 6lbs range. There are two latches, a locking mechanism, and a longer cable.
