Water Pump Weep Hole

Water Pump Weep Hole
Where is the weep hole in the water pump? I have a leak coming from the left side of the water pump, but I haven't looked hard enough to find out where it is coming from.
Also, what is the best way to get the thermostat housing bolts off. The last time I tried to get those bolts off of my Jspec motor, I broke both bolts off. I heard that this is because the bolts are steel and the housing is aluminum. The fact that there are two different metals working together causes severe corrosion.
Anyone had luck getting these out?

I'm just guessing, but have you checked the depth of the threads in the tapped hole in the housing.
Sometimes even a different or missing lock washer will let the bolt end bottom in the threads.
That will lock the bolt also.

Really, the best way to remove them is with an impact gun to hammer them loose. The bolts commonly rust into place, since they're installed with coolant dripping through the holes they thread into.
I *ALWAYS* run a tap through the holes on the water pump housing to clean up the threads, get two NEW bolts, preferably coated/stainless ones, and put anti-sieze on the bolts. That will make the next time you remove it a happy experience.
Most times, they break when you put it all back together, not during removal. But, I've seen both.
