Want your opinions on this 7 for sale!

It's a 88, not ur eof the model, white, stock, auto. I have never seen it yet I am going check it out tomorrow. It has a bad intake mani gasket. Driverside front fender has a dent. He said the car is dirty but runs good other than the gasket. He is asking $400. What do you guys think I should do in this situation. His house was totalled in Katrina and doesn't have money for the car.

depends on what youre gonna do with it. Its a good deal for the price it sounds like, but if its a car you want to race/tune you probly want a manual, and thats kind of a bitch of a conversion

if his house was totalled in Katrina, the car has some damage too... Your probably gonna need new interior and have to completely clean the intake of debris. $800 is a good price if it runs. Just wish you were closer to me, Id sell you my 86 for $1000 and she has modified suspension, body kit and runs like a dream...

So I go to check out the car today. The window trim on the bottom of the doors are rusted. The engine ran but after cutting it off, the engine bay had smoke comming out. It was comming out from right by the firewall. It only smoked like that when he cut it off. It was smoking when he started it but it went away, he said he lubed the "valves". Yepp another person that doesn't know a rotary is. He said the engine runs great and transmission shifts good. I don't think I will be purchasing it. I figured it was just a chance it would be a good car.
