Cool. I didnt find them earlier. I found alot of v-mount setups. But I guess I didnt look hard enough. Anyway, I got one question...

Did you guys (who installed a FMIC) have to cut holes on the side to have the piping go through? Like behind the headlights??? Because I certainly dont have any holes there...

FMIC pics

you don't have to cut anything, i used 2" stainless pipes and it went through the existing holes. i also didn't have to cut the bumper support. i think you might be able to fit 2.25" pipes through those hole but it will rub.

Just like this pic. Where the pipes go down, right behind the headlights. You guys didnt have to make any holes there? I dont have any there. I have a S4 TII.

yea you definately have to do some hacking ... you can get away with 2" piping but at that point your better off with the tmic as your restricting air flow

It's only hard if you don't have the right tools.

Drill + 3" hole saw will get the job done.

how does 2" piping restrict airflow hurleysurf24? stock i/c pipes are 1.75 ID. going to a 2" pipe is an increase and you don't lose VELOCITY. why is everyone going with ridiculous sized pipes? how many people here actually NEED 3" i/c piping? i think that people are over compensating in the i/c piping size, there is no need for such huge pipes when running slightly above stock power levels. the piping size should be based on horsepower levels, not cool factor.

To match our ridiculously sized turbos

Yes, sizing should be determined by power level and turbo size. But often times people build an intercooler setup with big plans in mind, so that may explain why people run 3" pipes on the useless stock turbo

exactly .... 3" piping helps with larger turbos .. also when you increase the boost on your stock turbo larger piping helps
