From looking at their design, the high idle is easily explained.
1. Elimination of BAC
2. Number 1, coupled with the load generated by the supercharger
3. Elimination of the progressive throttle body design
You know this, but it's for the benefit of others reading this thread.

Kinda looks like this (ignore the craptastic MS paint job)
Where black is the actual engine ports, red being the camden manifold ports

Yeah...
The design's old, the manifold sucks but like I said it wasn't for the speed, it's not like I head out to the track all that oftne, mainly just to have a little fun on a cruise around town.
Yeah, I spent a good wad of cash on it, but it was for me, not anyone else..I can make an intake manifold at my stepdads shop down in Baton Rouge, it's just a matter of free time or get my stepdad to.

Wow. Now that's just sloppy work...Looks almost like Atkins was not thinking in terms of fuel injection, but where just figuring "Do it like that because that's how we always used to do it with the carbs...".

The fuel injector location is pretty interesting as well, they're located on the side of the lower intake, facing directly at the ports, but the supercharger blows down right where they spray, so you can just imagine how well that mixes....

Alright, so far everythings going good after our mishaps, Snub's got the feed line on the way to my house to stop the occasional drip of oil onto the exhaust manifold!
Took it up to red line today -
But as for installation problems, here's the ones I recommend.
1) Get all the parts you don't have a week BEFORE you begin...no last minute bs, DELAY if you think you have to, don't do like I did and think we can just push on like other installs.
2) The tap is impossible to find, get it online. Make sure it's NPT as well...
3) The drill, we used a right angle drill thank god we bought one for my tranny install.
4) Make sure you have a LOT of JB Weld, etc. You never know when it'll come in handy.
5) Make sure you adjust the idle and adjust the gas BEFORE trying to figure out why its not idiling right.
6) Get some spare vacuum line and a tee, something they forget to tell you they dont include.
7) Make sure and get the gasket for the intake manifold before hand, snubs dad sent me the exhaust manifold...err I guess we could manage to make that work somehow right? LoL just messing with you snub, my dad would have sent off my cellphone for all he knew.
If anyone has any questions about the install I'll be more than happy to answer, I was observing for 80% of the time while SonicRAT was pimping the install labor wise, I'm just lazy, the other time I was holding him back from beating up my car and then I did misc stuff like injector harnesses, etc.
Like I said...
If you're looking for a BOLT-ON (for the most part) KIT - Spend the money
If you're looking for a couple of extra hp/tq and have a lot of money - Spend the money
If you're looking for a 3.2 1/4 mile drag car - Keep looking
If you're looking for a lot of HP Bolt-On - Keep Looking
If you don't have access to basic tools, and some special ones - Keep Looking
I HIGHLY recommend an SAFCII at LEAST for the install as it helped me get the car in a running and working condition until I get the vacuum leaks fixed.
AN Fittings are fun, but don't put them on backwards (cough cough snub cough cough lol).

lol, no ****, that damn backwards AN fitting probably cost you $3 in gas lol, I knew I should've checked if the swivel was still swiveling after it was tightened before testing the pressure.

That's ok, I probbaly spent more than that on fittings that werent of the right size...

the idle like everyone mentions is the only down fall of the kit.. i was able to get mine down to about 1200rpms with minor adjustents, the reason why i think it wont idle lower is the increased base fuel pressure. camden ups the pressure to get you more fuel with na injectors, the solution? get tII secs and a safc, turn down the fuel pressure to where its supposed to be. with that in mind youd be able to get a reasonable idle. imho 1200 wasnt bad. but less is always better
Like i said i was happy with the kit, everything was included and the car was very quick. everyone that says blah blah only xxx hp needs to get over it.
gl with the project.

Thanks shift, I'm still on the stock crappy injectors, it idles at 1800 RPM ok...but I've got to get my injectors cleaned.
I can get it to idle at 1200 RPM, if I add +50% gas all the way accross the range, which I don't even have the FPR hooked up at the moment to a vacuum source, it's wide open to allow gas to flow even, I need to hook it up but I'm waiting on the damn exhaust manifold I want to buy ($$$ wise) so I can't even read how much boost I'm pushing, I guarntee its only 5lbs because they upped the pulley size to a huge pulley to make sure I wasn't over spinning it.
My next mods are injectors, fuel pump, then exhaust!

I drove a 1st gen with a 13B camden set up and the TQ was awesome. It's not ***** to the wall. But it's great for the street. I was thinking about it, back when I briefly almost had a REPU.

Exactly, it's good enough were it's streetable, and to have a bit of fun on the way to work! I haven't lost any gas mileage, and I stay in boost constantly (vs a turbo where you have to stay in vacuum from what I've seen and heard).
I'm going around doing mantience items, such as fuel filter, etc - right now!

Boost is boost. If you are in boost you should be injecting more fuel otherwise you are or will be pinging soon. Same fuel meant for n/a with boost = ping = blown engine. So if you're in boost constantly and gas mileage is the same, that might be a bad thing.
And I still don't understand this 1800 rpm idle thing? Plus, you can ONLY get it to idle at 1200 by adding 50% fuel? Don't you see an issue with that?

It's not enough to notice a huge difference in gas mileage daily driven wise, I went from 19 MPG to about 18.7 City Driving, and now there's no pinging what so ever!

Yeah, true, the reason I'm having to is the injectors are so small that Camden has to up the fuel pressure to make up for lost grounds, I'm planning on getting bigger injectors and then take all the fuel away at idle and adjust the fuel pressure and I should be good!

Yah, something like 550 primaries and 550 or 680 secondaries, and a walbro or FD fuel pump should be good for your boost levels. Obviously some tuning will be needed with a wideband because you'll be dumping in way too much at some rpms.
