Maybe someone here can help. I want to put a downpipe (pre-cat replacement pipe) on with the stock Manifold, a Random Tech cat and Apexi N1 Dual on my '90 Convertible.
Any recommendations as to just where to get the pre-cat replacement, and any specific part numbers to look for? Most of the "downpipes" I see are meant to be used with a corresponding presilencer - will the Random Tech cat fit instead of the presilencer?
I was planning to do more research before I bought the parts, but things have come to a head quickly, and I need to order in the next day or so.
Thanks.

I love my exhaust set up. I used to have pics before my box went down. Anyway its the RB Header. Back (True Duals) to two cheap resinators then back to two 90mm N1s. The N1s have the silencers in there for day to day driving. And she still flames threw them. Take those out and cook hotdogs. When I first got the exhasut I had no resinators and no silencers. It was SO lound you have no idea. With the res and silencers its sounds pretty killer. BTW my exhaust system is going to be for sale as is the Street ported engine that its connected to. Contact Kevin for more information.

gonna get a 3" DP, probally from thunderfab. And weld the rest myself. Gonna use a glasspack and an Apex or HKS hiper muffler. 3" all the way back. Im gonna attempt to pack the glasspack with SS wool.

my exact exhaust mods werent on there but it seems it was a poll for N/A cars primarily. mine are down pipe and mid pipe from rotary performance, i think they are made by Bonez. and some pieced together catback that i got from a friend. as soon as i get some money ill replace all of it with the RB 3" turbo back . it makes more power and is supposed to be the best sounding exhaust for the 2nd gen. the exhaust i have sucks and sounds way too raspy and way too loud.

my vote is for the exhaust system used on the formula mazda cars.... hell yeah!
Looked like header w. 2.5" pipes collected into a 3" muffler, 3" outlet with a nifty flange (I would assume for another muffler....)
Damn those rotaries sound good....
