You have a filler on the water-pump housing's neck? Yes? No problem, then!

s4 thermostat housing will fix that. How efficient are the intercooler and radiator at these angles? Are you removing the lower plastic shield? And lastly, I havn't seen anyone go for a water to air i/c, wich is what I'm going to go with. Extremely efficient, minimal pressure drop, and compact. Plus I'm more for a car that looks calm, slow.. But is more like a psycotic reaction suprise!

And wouldn't you know it, as soon as I go to pull off the cap housing from the neck, a damn bolt sheared off. And my m6x1.5 tap is broken. Time to oversize that ho.

I'm making a fiberglass panel, but not sure whether I'm going to replace the undertray or just make a supplement piece.

Have you considered using a overflow tank that is pressurized with the system? Mount that at the highest point and you solve all problems

Nearing the end of this project finally! I got the radiator hoses figured out, intercooler piping is mocked up and ready to get finalized, and everything's looking good. Time to get that megasquirt done!
Pay no attention to the slight frame damage I hope this is a good place to mount the oil cooler, I don't really know a better place for it really. I don't have the bumper support anymore, so it won't be blocking any airflow if anyone's worried.

Which ones? The line cooler is going to sit behind the oil cooler, but I haven't fabricated a bracket for it yet. The lines that were in the way for the intercooler piping near the strut tower were simply cracked loose and rotated so the intercooler piping could pass through.
This really hasn't been that hard of a project. I don't see why more people don't do it honestly. I understand that you really don't need a v-mount until you start making some serious power, but with the cooling issues I had with the stock radiator coupled with the fmic it just makes sense to do this. Most importantly, I like keeping all the features the car came with.

I hear ya. I have reconsidered my fmic thanks to this thread. I was going to go fmic until I upgraded my turbo, but if its this easy, why bother? the biggest problem was going to be the custom A/C lines (since the shops around me aren't open on weekends (and I would have no ride to get there if they were...) but since I don't need custom lines, this is a lot more feasible.

I'm wondering though.... My fiberglass shroud won't fit anymore, so should I even bother with another one, or should I just mount my fan directly on the back of the radiator, then mount another fan to the front of the condenser?

No shroud huh? That's good, my e-fan doesn't come with a shroud built in, just the FG one I made a long time ago for the stock radiator, and that won't fit now. We'll see how a single e-fan cools on these hot GA days in traffic. I'll have to get hot on the ducting then

I wish I could weld, but I can at least rig up some ducting once I get my setup fitted. I can't remember where I saw it, but one V-mount setup had an adjustable divider between the IC and rad so that you could vary the amount of airflow to each cooler depending on conditions...something to consider
