VIN help!!!

I ran my VIN number and it came up as a 1990 GTU/GLX???? thats kinda a weird thing. the car is a 1990 with a 13b and originally came with an auto trans, if that would help anyone. i cant figure out what my car is. i thought it was a GXL when i first got it, but then i ran the VIN and it kinda threw me off. Just wondering if anyone could help me figure this out. thanks in advance.

Where did you run the VIN? Chances are whoever ran it made the GXL/GLX mis-label.

VINs only tell you if the car is non turbo, or Turbo or convertible. They do not tell you the sub type.

As far as sub type.. Does it have power windows? If so, it is a GXL unless it is built after the cut off and is really a 91.

And your bump has been deleted. Bumps are forbidden in the 2nd gen technical section. Why do you think your question was more important than anyone else?

Carfax is not really accurate for finding out what model you have.
