a video to wack it to. (Rtek7 2.0 software)

S4 TII owners whip it out! Soon all your ecu will belong to us.

"No news on a release date. Still in testing and working the bugs out of the
Palm software. Cost is estimated to be under $500....about half the price of
a standalone but all of the functionality, without the complicated mess of
installation.

The software will run on a Palm OS PDA. There may be a PC version in the
future, but you will need a Palm for now. Refurbished Palms can be
purchased for as little as $30. Part of the installation that we do for
version 2 includes adding a serial DB9 port to the ECU.

There is a demo video of the software at
www.pocketlogger.com/video/rtek7.avi (7 meg and you will need the DivX
codec to view it)

You will be added to the Rtek v2.0 announce list.

hmm, under 500 eh? how would it stack up to a e-manage? (dont forget the extra softwares chreated for emanage too like the auto tune feature that can be used with a w/b)

^ some people dont want to deal with / pay someone else to deal with the mess of the wiring
this is a nice alternative to have since you can adjust everything just like a standalone supposely

lets talk a little more about this feature. What exactly does this feature do? You wire in the wide band to it and then it adjusts the afr to whatever number you want? If that is the case, that is cool as ****!

that is the email i got when i ask a question about the new 2.0 chip.

"If you would like to be notified when Rtek7 products are released, please email us at rtekinfo@pocketlogger.com."

then i asked:

"What about the AFM? any plans of making it so the AFM will be eliminated?"

responce:

"There is. No ETA though.

there is a little more info on the site.. not much tho. the video shows how much tuning will be possible with a chipped ecu. When the AFM goes away ALL s4 tii owners NEED one of these. for little more than the price of a FCD and a safc you can have a standalone with no install time!

NICE!

I mean I agree, that its alot better than an safc, but its also about $300 than an safc.. I like it, especially if I only had enough for 500, but then again surelly if I can get 500 I can get 300 more to have a full standalone. unless you got the money from a gift or something. For example I got my ecu brand new from a member for $700. Thats 200 more than what they want for the chip. It means complete control of ignition and fuel. Plus getting rid of the dreaded afm. And more tunability over all...
