Vibrating noise goes away during right turns
Ok this is a continuation of my last thread. Well, I did some research and it seems my noise goes away in harder right turns then returns once the car is straight again. Definately is coming from behind me.

the wheel bearing on the right rear is starting to let go
the noise goes away during right turns because the weight of the vehicle is being lifted off the right side of the car during a turn to the right (i.e. body roll)
but when you are driving straight or taking a hard left hand turn the noise remains and probably gets worse during a left hander since more weight is being applied in that situation...
If it were mine i'd do both as they have MAYBE been changed once in the life of the car...
p.s. make sure you're confident its coming from behind, you wouldn't wanna go to all the work of changing the rear bearings from hell if its actually the fronts

Your wheel bearing is shot, probably the right rear since that tire would be spinning the least during a right turn. Go grab your haynes manual, tear it down, shoot over to the local Carquest for a replacement and put her back together.

Not all that difficult, the main problem is you will have to give up use of your car for a day possibly. I know a kid a VT who probably wouldnt mind helping you, huge rx7 fan. He's a freshman named Adam Fouse. He's got a 86 base and is always looking to lend a hand.

Auto parts store is fine and it would be great to find a car quest. They are generally the best place to get hard to find parts (ie RX7 parts). Mazdatrix isnt bad, as long as you dont mind waiting for it or paying for it to be shipped.

Note: when I had wheel bearing issues, it was the opposite wheel bearing that had gone bad.
Same issue, the rumbling would go away when I turned in a certain direction at a high enough speed to get decent weight transfer, and come back once the weight transfer had gone back to normal.
The thing is, the bearing went quiet when _more_ load was transferred to it, not when load was lifted off of it.
So if it's right turns that quiet it down, that would mean it's one of the left side bearings that's bad, if your case follows my experience.
Of course, there's no guarrantee that yours will work out the same way as mine, but if replacing the right side bearing doesn't fix it, you shouldn't scratch your head too long-- just move your jack and jack-stands over to the left side. :p
Also, it's good to replace the bearing grease while you've got everything open, and try to keep dirt and crud out of the mix when you go to put everything back together. Some people recommend going in a few weeks after you do the job, and check on the tightness of the bearings and such, to make sure everything's still good.

I can agree that it might be the bearing with the HIGHEST load. Putting the load would place all of the weight on it, basically pinning it in position. Taking a load off MIGHT take enough off to quiet it, but I would also lean towards it being the outside wheel (left turn, right bearing, right turn, left bearing).
On top of that, I see no reason to change one without the other. It would be cool if you did one, report on what happens, then change the other.... just for future reference

Thanks for the input, now Ive ran into a something that might change things. I forgot to mention that I have a non-matching tire on the right rear. One of my FD wheels cracked and when I got a replacement it came with a different tire which was also on the wrong direction. So, I have a different tire rotating the wrong way on the right side also, dunno if this will change anything or not. Lastly, today while driving the FC, I heard what seemed to be a few small clunks coming from the rear.
