VERY odd CE light... goes on after car is OFF!! WTF!
I'm hoping this is just since the UIM is off.... but that can't be it
The light will not go on when the car is in the ON postion (but engine is off). When I turn the car to "Lock," the CE light will STAY ON even after the key is removed. It stays on as well as whatever light the vent selector is on (foot, head, both, windsheild, etc..).
WTF could be going on here?!?!

AHHHH now I understand...
From that I think the first thing I would be looking at would be if the ignition switch is broken or staying on.

The problem is simple - your RX-7 thinks it's British.

sell it and buy a new car.
No, I think it's GOT to be a short somewhere outside the ignition (unless the ignition is shorted itself), because the ignition doesn't transfer power unless it's on.

I think your car got a mind of its own. In my 2 FCs both of them had it, lol. My NA would overheat whenever it felt like it for no apparent reason and the battery would die out of no where for no reason. Replaced every part of the cooling system and the electrical system but problems were never resolved. With my TII, my boost was wayy low forever. Then one day while driving I hit it and the boost goes all the way up to where it should. I did absolutely nuthin to the car either. OK you got my opinion
