very confused
ok, have posted here in a while.so here is a little background.
i have a 1990 rx7 vert n/a 5 speed.
well, the car hasnt really been drove for about 5-6 months. mostly because of the cold wether. #1 its a pain to start when really cold. #2 the heat isnt worth a damn in it. well, the past few weeks i have been trying to get it started so i could get it moved and start getting the interior back together so i can sell it. well it hasnt wanted to start at all.
well we finally had nice weather this weekend so i went out and pulled the plugs and cleaned them and blew all the motor out. put the plugs back in and after jumping it with my truck finally got it to crank.
but when it cranked it smoked and shook alot. which i think was just from all the fuel from me trying to crank it before i pulled the plugs. but finally got it all out and not smoking.
but the problem is i cant get it to idle. if i let off the gas it just dies. only way to keep it running is to hold the pedal and keep it at about 1500k. took it for a drive just thinking it need to be run some and it didnt change.
so the first thing i need to do is get it to run at idle. the other problem is i have to keep jumping the battery to crank it. so i need to get it to run to see if the alternator is working. the volt gauge looks like it is charging but i know how these guages arent the most accurate.
only thing that has been done to it recently is i flushed the coolant and put in a new fuel filter then parked after that.
so im just looking for any ideas as to where to start. im still learning about these motors. really want to keep the car but it has been nothing but a pain since i got it. now im starting to see why i got it at such a good price. so if anyone can help would be much appreciated.
thanks.
p.s. sorry for the long post

Does your car not idle at all, meaning engine temps cold and hot? also if you had your battery hooked up for the 5/6 months you werent driving it, it mite have killed your battery. But first thing is first, check all the usual suspects. fuel lines, fuel pressure, vac lines, alt, etc.... also, have you tried to see if you can keep it running if you adjust the idle screw??

update:
well, we got it running this weekend. got a fresh optima from work and that helped getting it cranked. but still wouldnt idle. buddy came over and we found a line that wasnt connected to the intake hose. probably hapenned when i was messing with it. so i guess the battery wasnt as good as i thought.
adjusted the tps sine it hasnt been done since i got it. finally got it to idle where i wanted. but after driving it for a while sometimes it will idle fine then other times it will idle very low. also when it is idling low and i stake off from a light it just bogs down and almost dies.

ok, got it to crank and all now. so thats good but found out the aux. ports arent opening.
instead of making a new thread i thought i would just ask in this on. i must be blind, but what section are the aux. ports under in the fsm?
trying to figure out how to go about figuring out whats wrong and what parts i need to order if i have to pull them off
