Vert Parts issue... anybody else have them?
ok so my 89 vert lost the clutch sat. it was on its last leg for a year, if you hammered on it it would slip when tryin to take off hard. well im fine with this its had a good life. so im outa work now for 6 weeks and cant do the right thing and get a light flywheel and street strip clutch cus im watching the funds really closely. so i start looking at the local parts stores. ALL OF THEM list 3 clutchs kits with diffrent stages in each. #1 turbo... yea yea 240mm wont work ok next, n/a "coupe" hummm and last n/a vert only. its got a diffrent part # and front there parts list the only differance is the pilot bearing. WTF? a 10a-20b all use the same pilot bearing. so im trying to tell them this isnt right and they argue with me about it. the vert kit was instock at 1 shop and was 139$ but its not right i looked at it. the n/a coupe kit was order in and 260$ for a stock replacement.
Anybody else have issues with there local parts store and stupid stuff like this?

I can't find any parts at my local parts store. They have to order everything for my car for the most part (1990 vert). They don't erven carry exhaust flange gaskets for it. This is autozone and O'reilly.

most places dont do exh gaskets for us. if you install the tipical paper gasket that most stock it will burn out in a few days, and they wont stock a expensive metal gasket.

put up a WTB ad in the classifieds, I bet someone has a clutch they can practically give you for shipping costs to get you by for now until things get better.
Or take your clutch out and give it to a local clutch guy, probably cost you less then a autoparts store one and work better anyhow.
