Then they aren't original Vert Mesh rims. They're all 15's. However, BBS did make a version very much like the stock 15's in a 16 and 17.

The S5 TII Meshys 16's aren't made by BBS and are much heavier.

Gee, it's too bad we don't have a FAQ sticky about what the 2nd Generation RX-7 came w/. Options & standard features. It would take many hours of hard work to produce, but at least it wouldn't go to waste because everybody would surely read it before posting any questions like this. Pictures of the wheels would be nice, too.

^ Unfortunately, I did not include the Infini wheels in that...

Almost identical in appearance to the Very wheels but in 16"

The reason I posted this question (AFTER READING THE FAQ) is that some folks swear they have 16 inch bbs meshes on thier verts. If thats the case, I would like to know more about this strange animal.

Where are these people who "swear they have16 inch bbs meshes on thier verts?"

They are either:
-Mistaken
-Lying
-Have aftermarket wheels
-Have Infini wheels
-Have wheels off of another type of vehicle

ALL stock convertibles came with 15x6.5" BBS Mesh wheels according to the sales brochures, the FAQ, and everyone else.

Why do we need to get you a pic? You're the one who knows these people who "swear they have 16 inch bbs meshes on thier verts."

How about you get us a pic or you have them get us a pic.

Good lord you got to love this site.

I swear I have seen "Stock looking" vert rims in 16 inch, hence the reason for my horrible question that makes some of you furious. Folks have told me they have stock 16 inch rims, which I have now come to realize with you guys grilling me that they are not stock. Sorry, they looked so stock I posed this question on here.

Just wanted to find out a bit more about them figuring they would make very nice autox wheels.

Aparently American Racing made some in the 90's, They are 16 inch and look very similar to the stock bbs vert rims. Maybe they are the ones folks think are stock??? You can shove that bit of info right up your pompus faq keister!

So aparently the rims I have questions about are not stock. I get that. They are however prevelant enough for me to have "noticed" them through the years, which makes me want to find a set even more.
So there, Im not crazy, someone just did a good job at making their aftermarket rims look like 15inch bbs vert rims.

BBS did make essentially, or possibly identically the same rim as the vert rims as an aftermarket rim in different sizes as well, so it is possible to find 7's wearing those - I haven't seen them on 7s, but have seen them on other cars. I have a set of the BBS vert rims for autocross, and they are sweet, light and strong. Just too bad they weren't 15x7, as they pull in the sidewalls of my r-comps a bit, which are 225s sized more like a 235-45. OEM rims traditionally have been a bit stingy, especially on width.

You need to have a little more thought in your questions then...

Ooh! I saw some 16" BBS wheels. Let me find out if they're stock...
-Check FAQ. Find out that Convertible BBS wheels only came in 15"

So they're OBVIOUSLY not factory...

Then the question should not have been about stock convertible wheels being 16 inches... You already know the answer to that question and the answer is no...

Think... Then post.

A more appropriate question would have been, "Hey, I saw an RX-7 with some 16" mesh style wheels similar to the BBS Convertible ones. Does anyone know who may have made them or where I can get some?"

This opens you up to a lot more suggestions than insisting that they're convertible wheels. This goes completely against the printed literature. You can't argue with printed literature without something even more credible...

Find me somewhere in the FAQ where it's missing info on stock equipment wheels... Find me anything inaccurate about the info you've been given here in this thread.

I think I've been rather tolerant in this thread and with your PM that I won't even bother to reply to. You wanna see me be a jerk, go ahead and call me something else and I'll give you a break from the internet, or at least this forum for a week.

Here's the deal... When you want info there's a process you go through before posting up a new thread.

1.) Search first. It's better to resurrect an existing thread on the topic than starting a new one.
2.) Check in the FAQ.
3.) Provide as much info as you can.
4.) Back your thoughts up with evidence and reliable info.

I'm no expert and don't have all the answers. And I do agree that this topic may have been worthy of a new thread. But I believe your first post in this thread would have been worded differently had you thought through it a bit more and read up on the Vert wheel... Process of elimination man. Didn't they teach you this in school?

Anyone else think this is unreasonable?

I don't think they're mesh. I think they're just double spoke wheels...
Hmmm...

Too many spokes on the logo ones, but they look similar to the GTC01 or SC05 styles here:
http://www.enkei.com/race_tuning.html

EKM3 maybe:
