The verts came with a tool that will fit right over them allowing you to twist them off without putting too much pressure on one spot.

You're going to have to improvise, you probably wont break them.

Ok..get a Good piece of TAPE..put it all the way around the Octagonal Piece on the Center Cap.That way you won't mark up the Cap,when you Put on a BIG PAIR of Slip Joint Pliers. You squeeze the Cap,Good enough to move it.TURN the cap Counter CLOCKWISE To LOOSEN it up.It should Unlock.

BMW also uses the exact same wrench.
I just use my hands. Or a strap wrench.

Just squat down facing the wheel. Grip the center hex with both hands, thumbs at the top. Turn it counter clockwise, about 1/4 turn.

Unless your a weakling, they will come right off.

You could also use an oil filter strap wrench.

When I first got my car, there was no removal tool in it. Mazda wanted an obscene price. The caps had been on a long time, and I couldn't move them with my hands alone. I got a BIG pair of channel locks and used a shop cloth to protect the finish on the caps. It worked very well.

After that first time, I could just twist them off by hand.

A strong pair of hands turning to the left will take them off pretty easily.

Hence people stealing them off your car in mall parking lots...careful where you park those rims with the caps on.
