bump... i am curious also. i am wanting to do a v-mount. also would you place the radiator top back or bottom back? I saw some pics of it done but they arent detailed enough for me to figure it out. Last thing is which e-fan would be the best for this setup, the b-magic? thx

If you wanted to keep the stock fan then I would suggest putting the intercooler infront of the rad then making a custom fan shroud. This is something I am looking into and I think I will find some other junkyard shroud that will fit. I will then do a writeup.

There are no rules for V-mounts or H-mounts. They are custom jobs for the most part. It would be pretty challenging to use the stock fan effectively and would require a crap-ton of a ducting.
Think of the radiator as a weight, this would lead us to deciding it is better off being mounted as low as possible without running risk of it scraping or hitting the ground or objects easily. Leaning the top back to the engine so that any air that passes through it will be channel'd out the bottom of the engine bay (ducting is very beneficial here). A Black magic (b-magic) fan would be a good fan for mounting on the back/ underside of the radiator.
The intercooler mounting will depend on the size and thickness of your I/C. When mounting the IC and Radiator you want to be able to get as much fresh air as possible to both of them. This is another key area for ducting. A Vmount duct style hood is beneficial after ducting has been made to channel air through the duct. Just having a hole in your hood wont cut it.
Ok gotta get back to work. Hope that helps

You don't have a prayer of using the stock fan. You need that extra couple inches to lean the radiator back farther. I used a taurus fan mounted very low (the bottom 1/2" of the fan actually sits below the rad and is the lowest point on the front of the car) to avoid the main pulley. Ideally, I think the dual 12" permacools would be the best fan setup.
The radiator should have the top towards the rear of the car. Leaning the rad forward (like stock) is not a V-mount. Search TTT and Blue TII's setups, or even my budget build.
