if it's already apart, i recommend simply removing the drive gear & shaft from the front cover and tapping & plugging the port on the front housing that feeds oil to the OMP normally.

after you do this theres no oil feed @ the blockoff plate, any old plate will do just to keep elements out and any vapours from accumulating and leaking past.... and you've reduced moving parts and marginally reduced rotating mass (engine no longer has to spin the drive gear and the shaft).
