Using a 13b In a Dune Buggy??
Hey Guys
Sorry for the newbie question but i about to build a Sand Rail/Dune Buggy and want to install a Rotary Engine in it (i have always been a fan of RX7's and love driving them)
Anyone have any advice on such a swap?
I was thinking of using a TurboII motor but was wondering how hard the EFI and sensors and such would be to wire up. Or should it be converted to carbs?
Or also, i have heard that you can install the 13b and fit it with some Webers. Is this a good idea?
Do the Turbos really produce that much more Torque?
Anyone have a chart that lists the different rotary engines and their power outputs??
Any advice on using a rotary engine in a sand rail would be greatly appreciated
Thanks

I would go carb. it'd just be a lot easier. or stay fuel injected and go with a stand alone EMS, like haltech or something. thats my opinion.
monster garage is turning an rx7 into a sand rail, not fitting a rotary in analready existing sand rail. so it should be completely different. but still worth watching
convertible
watch monster garage :P SOrry they are doing the same thing with a vert
Ok, whats a Vert?

vert means a convertible FC or RX-7
I hate that guy for doing that to an RX-7. he could have just taken a 13B and put it in another car instead ofchopping up a perfectly good FC.

There doing it to a convertable rx7 is what he ment
the sensors wouldnt be any harder than a n/a engine IMHO. From my reading though a carb'd engine if tuned properly makes much more power than an EFI engine
Im not thamiliar with carbs and stuff, but i know racingbeat sells intake manafolds that are setup to mate to different carbs, they have a website www.racingbeat.com
Umm i forget there exact #'s but i bet you could ssearch for em
Just make sure it stays cool, i say you do it, sounds cool
