Update on my GTUs Turbo conversion
As some of you might have seen, a while back I posted
about doing the TII conversion on my GTUs
(https://www.rx7club.com/forum/showth...&highlight=TII
). At that point I had bought the engine,
transmission, wiring, and about 80% of the parts I
needed to do the conversion. I even bought a
performance part, an old school HKS FMIC!![Smilie](https://www.rx7club.com/images/smilies/smile.gif)
I pulled the motor apart and found that one rotor
housing was bad and the rear iron side housing was
bad. So I picked up a cheap S5 J-Spec motor that had
a blown front rotor (see pics below to see what
happens when you over boost a rotary
). The only
bad parts on the 2nd motor to my surprise were the
rotor and the rotor housing. Every thing else is fine
(any one want a good condition S5 TII rotor its up for
sale?). Now I have all the engine parts I need to do
the rebuild.
I pulled the motor out of my GTUs this weekend and
took a couple of pictures. I took a goofy JDM pose
with my new turbo as well hehe. Hope you like it.

Want to know what a rotary looks like after it over boosts
(from the bad J-Spec motor):
