UPDATE:My 67K mile blown engine, i have come up with a theory
Well, a while back i took apart my intake manifold to get my ports working and to decarb it and such, upon assembly, i temporarily used gasket sealer goup (like GasketMaker or something) due to the fact i was going to do the infamous VDI manifold swap, so i didn't feel that i needed to go out and buy gaskets for to use for just a short while. Tonight i took apart my intake manifold (just getting it ready to be pulled) and i noticed some of the gasket goup made its way into my intake runners (just from me putting it on too thick and pressing it together, that is normal) BUT, i saw some peices broken off on the two rear runners, the ones that primarily send air to the rear rotor, in turn, ******* it all up inside. Great, i feel like an idiot, and want to die. People, lets learn something from this, if Charles (myself) says he has done it... AVOID DOING IT AT ALL COST. im so stupid, i can't beleive this. I tried to ATF it and it worked for a short while and ran decent until the ATF was all gone, then it ran like hell again. Thanks again guys and sorry so long, i guess ill try to rebuild it maybe, who knows.

Next time use Hylomar.
I assembled an engine with so much Hylomar that you could spoon it out through the exhaust ports. Engine sat for a week then when I put it in it fired right up, no problems.
Hylomar does not harden....

Question Charles: Does this stuff get superhard? Cuz IF it dont, i dont see how that would mess it up.. Now if it gets hard like a rock, hell yeah its gonna trash a apex seal and then gouge up the housing...
BUT anyways, only thing i will use is Hylomar.
I usually torture test stuff before I use it if I never heard of it, so a long time ago I torture tested hylomar.. Take a glob it and soak it gasoline, guess what it DOESNT DISOLVE.. Hummm, tried the flame test, that **** will take almost a 1000degress before it bubbles Its got my vote and all my business

its not hard, its "semi drying".... like, it doesnt stick to your hand, but its all gooey still and ****. Adamn (mazdaspeed7) seems to think that it must might need cleaning up and that the inside might also be all gooey, its all theories right now, bc i dont know what the hell made this happen. If anyone has any ideas as to why a 67K mile, meticulously maintained and serviced (everything was serviced from the dealer by the previous owner, who is also the original owner, and i serviced it just as meticulous) i just dont get it. The only other thing i can think of is the OMP went out.
Thanks again guys.
Thanks again guys.

I bought a meticulously maintained 87 non-turbo 2 years ago with 65.k and blew the aft rotor the following spring after being stored for the winter. Car was is such good condition I invested in a rebuild from Atkins Rotary in Washington state. I installed it myself and I'm in the process of breaking in the engine now. The wife thinks I'm crazy.
