Umm? Running rich!!
Ok after the damn p/s dampener went i replaced it with a fuel rail from an engine that was recently removed from a car and was running fine, Just low comp. I also replaced the primary injectors with the parts motors because mine looked ify. And this motor was fine. Although one of the injectors was a secondary, and one a primary. I got them in the car an all seemed well, But here lately ive been getting this rich reading on the A/F guage, At idle its almost full rich, and when cruising around just barely touching the gas its the same, When i get to anything uphill at just this cruise i get the open-closed loop on the guage, and then under throttle i get the rich setting,
What can be causing such a rich condition? i tried adjusting the A/F idle screw all the way to lean, and this made no difference at idle? Could i have a very leaky injector? I don't know and its starting to get costly on gas. Also when i go to start it sometimes i get a pop in the exhaust as if fuel was leaking into the engine? I Don't know, but i think that im gonna have to put the old injectors back on and find out what the hell is going on.
Thanks for the info in advance.

On the whole, you did this to yourself. You removed the acv and airpump. All rx will read around .75 volts, give or take, at idle with the engine warmed up. That is normal.
There is a scenario where you will not see approx .75 volts at idle. That is with a fully functional acv and airpump. Even this combination will show high or rich readings if the variable resistor on the 86-88 are turned too far to the rich.
I can go to either of my cars and the 02 sensor will read a minus number or something on the order of .010 etc. If I go to the variable resistor and turn it slowly towards the rich area, the voltmeter will change from the low reading to approx .75 volts. BEfore going for emissions I make sure the idle shows the minus reading.
There is nothing wrong with you car or injectors because it reads rich at idle. YOU caused that by removing the acv and airpump. Not a big deal. Normal. Unless your car is studdering and missing a lot at idle.

Yea, i get a real rich reading, and a smoking exhaust, the fumes will make you cry. but at a cruise im getting this full rich reading, untill i give it a little gas, then it goes into the open-closed loop mode, and then at wot i get full rich.
I don't see this as being right, idle might be fine, but what about the cruise???

Yeah, I agree. I was wrong. Is it possible the engine you salvaged the fuel injectors off had some or one injector that was say a 720 instead of a 550? You've already thought of that though.
I have no solution but the one you've already been thinking about..........taking it apart and putting the original injectors back in.
Or you might look at the two injectors that are left out of the salvage engine and look at the numbers written on the side of the connector. Since you have at least one of the primary and one secondary of the original injectors, you might be able to tell what the injectors were i.e. something other than 550's.

Yea, thanks HAILERS im gonna do that tonight, But i do remember the two colors looking the same, that crud yellow-orange color, but still they may be different. Or could just one of them be leaking? How do you tell when you have a leaking injector? The plugs are fairly new so I don't think that a leaking injector would still cause it to flood in this case, but if the injectors were older it prob would? I don't know
thanks again
