ugh! Speedo not working after deflooding, forgot to remove key :(

anyways i was deflooding my car, so i turned off the car without taking the key fully out then i went to remove the egi fuse and crank etc... when i got the car running i noticed that my rpm gauge wasnt registering, and remember reading thats what happens when you remove the fuse while the key is in the ignition, i thought it doesnt matter if the car is fully off but i guess not . How can i fix this ?

this has happened to me as well, but if i turned my car off, the next time i started it, the tach would be working again. i have an 86 base with a tII swap.

I always noticed the same thing. I think it might be from disconnecting that fuse. If you unplug the CAS to deflood instead I bet that doesn't happen.
