two questions
i have been working on my recently acquired 86 NA. I have found that the car won't shut off correctly, and I think it's because the person who had it last didn't know how to wire a custom stereo. I can turn the car off and pull out the key and the car will still run. I did some wire searching and found this red wire leading off the positive battery terminal to the stereo. I cut this, and now I can shut the car off, but only if I don't turn on the heater. It's like there is some other thing keeping power to the car, almost like it's not totally killing the circuit. Any advice!!??
Also, I'm trying to figure out if all of the 2nd Gen rx7's have the same oil pan setup. I was under the car the other day and noticed that someone welded up their own engine mount bracket on the passenger side. In the Haynes manual it shows the oil pan as a horseshoe shape with the engine mount bracket mounting in the middle of the horseshoe. My oil pan is a solid rectangle. Any body got any ideas?
thanks for the help

Get your hands on the factory service manual wiring diagrams & start tracing circuits for your "radio" problem. Unless someone here on the forum has wired theirs the exact same way (with the same problems), it's gonna be hard to help you out with something specific...
As for your oil pan, either somebody wanted more oil capacity, or didn't like the idea of the OEM mounting location...If it bugs you, it should be fairly simple to obtain an OEM oil pan, mount bracket, and mount assy to restore everything back to original...
