Twin Scroll Removal 88 TII
I read about removal of the twin scroll on fc3s-pro.com. From what is said it sounds like it helps the top end especially when running a big downpipe and exhaust, but does it compromise low end power? Has anyone done this to their car and what are the benefits?

I've heard you're low end does suffer from it as the turbo comes to full boost later.
I don't think i would bother with it unless you've got a ported motor and/or an upgraded stock turbo.

Here's the premise of that mod (boy, I really should write this up)...
A lot of the modded FC turbos running around (with full exhaust systems, no cats) rev awfully quick.  No reason to keep the stupid switching system, since the engine already runs so quick up the revs.
The twin-scroll uses a flapper that ends up being a turbulence in the exhaust gas flow in the turbo exhaust manifold.
To be of the most efficiency, I would recommend matchporting the turbine housing...

I've been running without my twin-scroll system for the past two years.  I'd bet anyone who has taken a ride in my car don't even notice it has "lost some low end."![Smilie](https://www.rx7club.com/images/smilies/smile.gif)
