TurboXS Type-S BOV Questions/Standard BOV Questions...
I was looking into getting one of these and had a few questions about it. First of all, when purchased, will I need to buy anything else to properly mount it? Second, those of you with this BOV, is it too loud or annoying for you? Lastly, whats the best place to put it in if i'm going to probably only go to 10-11 psi?

I have the Turbo XS type H (I think it is) on my Mitsubishi Starion running stock 6.5 psi, it is loud enough to make people look at you funny... Im already looking for a bypass valve instead, I want to route it back into the intake and not have the car run rich for the split second..
I think the S version you are looking at is even louder then the one I have... so I bet it will be loud enough for you.

My buddy has a type-h RFL on his and its loud as hell (buts its on an SRT4 running 16PSi), but its an awesome sound. Anyway what would be the loudest BOV for me running 10 or 11PSi like Ocelot? Also like he asked where is the best place to mount it?

Well i'm looking for something thats loud enough for others to hear, but quiet enough not to like make everyone look at me whenever I shift. The Type-H RFL pretty much is the loudest from what I hear, hence the RFL (Really ******* Loud). I wan't basically something thats not going to get on my nerves after a long time from being TOO loud, but still loud enough to hear. I've heard the Type S is the type of sound i'm looking for.
The regular Type-H is one of the louder ones, at 110db, and the RFL is the louder version of that one, so basically its really ******* loud, lol. The type S is about 106db.

So the Type-H is louder than the Type-S? About it getting annoying, the only time you can hear it is when your actually building a lot of boost (i know DUH but keep reading) like on a highway or open stretch. In city stop start driving it really isn't all that loud (unless you boost high then blow off). I've never heard the Type-S tho.

I have the Type S, and I love it.. Its fairly loud, but not overly obnoxious.
I nstalled it by putting the flange on the bov, then clamping the hose for the bypass valve to the other side of the flange. 20 mins, max.

when I mean "bypass valve" I mean the hose that goes to the stock BOV. I might have mislabeled it, its the AIR RELIEF valve, I think..

I like my blitz super sound a lot. I'm not too sure how loud it is outside the car but you can hear it just fine inside the car - and its decently loud at mid-high RPM. One thing that I really like is that it doesnt sound like a whistle ala HKS. It has a nice long PA-TIISSSSSSHHHH sound.
