Turboing a s4 vert
So im still learning about rotorys.
So this summer i want to put a s5 turbo motor in my s4 vert. im wondering if there are any nessesary modifications to get my car ready for a s5 motor. or will it just drop right in?? and i have a fmic i want to install on it with the s5 turbo but i dont know where to find piping for it.
also i am probably going to street port and bridge it. and am wondering approx. how much power it will push out.. and possibly what it could do in the 1/4 mile. I want to get it lower than a 15. so.. yeah.. all help is greatly appreceated

And forget about all the porting ideas. By your own admission, you're just learning but talking about doing things Wankle heads with years under their belts are just getting a feel for. You need to learn to crawl before you walk, and walk before you run. You're talking about going directly from birth to running the 100 yard dash.
I've been involved in two swaps, and the bottom line is to stay in series. Also, you really should establish a solid base line before you start going exotic in your builds. So, not only stay in series (S4 to S4, S5 to S5), but keep it stock for the first round. That way the Factory Shop Manual is meaningful to your education.

Yeah. I wasnt thinking about it. but yeah i will stay in the series. but. one thing i want to do is instead of the top mount ic. i have a fmic. other than that. well just minor things. like an electric fan. and a better radiator for maximum cooling... and exhaust. i have an exhaust on my car. but its really quiet. i think it might have a pre silencer on it. im not sure i havent taken a look yet. but its huge. like 4". and i have a turbo ecu already. the guy i bought the car from gave it to me as a freebie
