Turboing my 86' 6 port NA?
Well first off my name is Anthony, Last week i bought a 86' NA. Good condition car and ran great. A friend of mine was selling it so I Couldnt pass up the $950 price tag. I also own a 93' FD so this is not my first rotary. im looking for any guidline info on how to go about doing this swap. and before anyone bashes and says its to much time and money and whatnot. I have the time and a bit of money. I have a great workspace to work on the car and plenty of tools for the job. I have since buying the car been all over the forums and read all about AAron Cakes "Project Tina" at first i was going to go all out and go straight to a 500hsp monster with a GT4088R, but have since tuned down my expectations because I really am doing this by myself and am not to sure on everything to do and don want to mess anything up to bad lol.
Saying that im really looking at what all components i need to purchase, and mods i need to make. Im looking to most likely just go for the TII turbo because that doesnt seem to need to get a new ecu and what not. My goal is somewhere between 300-400 hsp. Im not sure if i need to buy the TII intake manifold or what all needs to be adapted to the NA engine.
Another question i had is could i street port the engine still with the TII turbo and what proformance gains can I see from that.
Thanks everyone
I have already removed the engine and here are some pics of the car and engine.

this is what I was looking into before my money got rocked by a clutch repair job. http://www.bestofjdm.com/JDM-ENGINE-.../jdmmazda3.htm
from what I hear you can use the NA harness as long as its like S4->S4 or S5->S5 but any mixing you need to redo all of it.
Also need Turbo II rear end and Drive shaft. Im sure theres like 999 other things im missing.

JDM engines are hit and miss. Best bet is to find a USDM TII engine and trans. Get a custom driveshaft and all the other odds and ends. As long as you don't do any hardcore launches, the N/A rear should hold.

Thanks for the input guys. ive read a bit and it seems that the rear end tends to hold up fairly well with the turbo swap, im also doing a rebuild on the engine so i think it will hold up fairly well
