Turbo Vaccum lines?

What vaccum lines that are turbo related would affect the boost? And where are they? The car has no boost, well the stock gauge (which I know is a POS) boost from the bottom of the gauge to zero, but Im pretty sure that is all from backpressure or something. Any help would be great. Thanks

on the turbo itself there are only two lines. And they do not see vaccum.

one is at the top of the turbo on the compressor housing. The other line is on the wastegate.

In stock configuration for a 89 to 92 TII (I'm not sure how the S4 cars are), the line from the top goes to a metal line, and the line from teh wastegate goes to teh same metal line.

Near the middle of the metal line near the E shaft pully it T's off. From there it runs across the engine (under the UIM i think) and to the Stock boost controller located behind the oil filler neck, next to the solenoid rack.

That is it for lines coming off turbo. There is also oil and water lines too... but i'm assuming u arne't talking about those.

if you are not making boost it won't have anything to do with the turbo vac lines. they lower / control the boost. not make it. you could unhook them, put them wrong way etc and you'd still have boost.

I'd get a aftermarket boost gauge first. then check your IC piping. then check your cats for cloged

First off, if your English was better it would be much easier you work out what you're asking.

15yo stock cats are probably clogged and will almost certainly limit the boost you can make. The stock airbox is restrictive, but unless the filter's very dirty it won't cause a loss of boost compared to stock. Without seeing your TID, I can't tell if it would cause a problem, but it would have to be really bad to restrict air more than the stock one. If it leaks you'll have a crap idle. Do you have an aftermarket boost gauge?

The 88 has a vacuum line. Its on the switching actuator at the bottom of the turbo. But, no.....that will not cause a lack of boost if you loose that vacuum.

It's probably the clogged catalytic converters. Most likely the pre-catalytic converter close to the turbo. Buy a downpipe form Mazdatrix. But before doing that, take the inlet duct to the turbo off and feel for play in the turbo shaft. Should be little to none and definetly, the blades should not be touching the housing.
