Turbo upgrade question

Hey guys, i have an s5 jspec with an extend port motor in it. Now i know bugger all when it comes to turbos but i know that and the fuel system on my car is whats holding it back. Its only running 8psi at 6500rpm, the mechanic tried to get some more outta it but the turbo just bleeds back to 8psi at full noise and i think the fuel system is near its limits. Now i have been toying with the idea of upgrading it for some time. A guy at work has a TO4E that was strapped to the side of an RB30 for about a month before it blew up. He had it pulled apart and ballanced since then. I'm guessing its not a brand name because it cost him 800 new and the balancing was about 300. Now he said he would sell it to me for 400 and im tossing up between just getting that because its cheap or doing my homework and spending some dosh further down the track on a big bastard

Is this a good buy?
Will it produce much more lag than stock?
Is it gonna provide a big hp gain? (he said its rated to 400hp but i dunno if that applies to rotarys)
What size injectors would be reccomended to run with it?

So what u guys think?

What size compressor wheel?
Anything smaller than a "57" is really a waste of time...

Don't rely on numbers...
Pop off the compressor wheel housing and measure the wheel yourself with a pair of dial calipers.

If that guy is smart, he could tell you right off the bat.
Else, check with the turbo shop that did the rebuild?

Well i asked the guy today. The compressor wheel is apparenlty a "60" he said it runs a T3 flange, he said the T04E is like a T3/T4 but instead of spooling as fast, it holds the boost for longer or something like that. How much boost do you think that would allow me to run and how much hp do you estimate it would be putting out?

T3 turbine is really too small for a 13B.
The 13B can push a full T4 turbine, so I'd pass on it.
It's basically a "Honda" (hybrid) turbo.

The only T3 you should bother with is a GT35R, and even then you would be better off with the T4 GT35R.
