turbo?????'s

I know there have been a million and one posts about turbocharging an n/a fc on this forum. So dont think im stupid for posting another one, and haven't searched the archives. I have an idea though, my uncle owns an 86 regal t-type with the turbo 3.8 litre 6. He just happens to have an extra turbo sittin around the house( lucky bastard!). anyway, he said he'd give it to me if I wanted it for my fc. My problem is how to hook it up if i decide to get it from him. On the stock regal t-type that he has, the turbo runs about 15 psi, I know this is too much for my car, but i can always set the boost lower if i want. Has anyone managed to turbo charge an n/a with another car's turbo? if so i need input, I figure that free turbo= inexpensive fun, what about you all???

hmmm...

free turbo...however,

what about extra fuel for that turbo? What is going to manage the fuel delivery?

How about custom exhaust+intake manifold as well as intercooler piping, vacuum pump and all that fun stuff...

If only it was as easy as slapping a turbo onto a car and driving off....nope sorry. (You probably already knew that...just letting ya know again).

dont forget that turbo II Engine Front Cover which has the water lines that go the turbo and the turbo II oil lines that go to turbo.. even if u have a turbo... its not worth it.. its easier to just look for a turbo II engine and then if u want get a manifold and snap on that turbo u say u have.. if it came off a regal ure probably lookin at a t3 garrett i think or it could be t4 but then u would need a custom exhaust manifold that fits that turbo and that bolts on to ur engine

Just forget it man. It'll cost you 2-3 THOUSAND dollars just to be able to put that thing on. Its so not worth it unless you are truly willing to make the commitment of doing a n/a to TII conversion. Even then by the time you're done all that you'll be asking yourself "good god, why the **** didn't I just go buy a TII"

The turbo is too small.&nbsp The 13B can actually push TWO of those things efficiently.

I was afraid you guys would say all that! I knew it was too good to be true in the first place, oh well, I'll just have to remain an n/a for longer now... (tear)
