Turbo oil feed line in stainless
Alright my oil feed line is starting to leak. It is leaking on the flange, where the pipe connects to the flange on the turbo. I have an extra one sitting in my locker at work but I want to replace with a brand new stainless line so I don't have to worry about it.
So far for parts I have:
1 Aluminum - Oil Inlet Flange (T3)
http://www.atpturbo.com/Merchant2/me...egory_Code=OIL
1 45 Deg 1/8" NPT to -4 AN
http://www.atpturbo.com/Merchant2/me...egory_Code=OIL
3-4 feet of Stainless hose
Two hose ends
And now the question I have is what size banjo fitting for the new line? I did some searching and I got a few sizes in return and I don't know which one for sure.
12mm x 1.25
12mm x 1.5
14mm x 1.5
^Which is right^?
Or can I replace the stock banjo with a straight Metric to -AN fitting? Like from 12mm x ?.?? to -6 then a -6 to a -4 reducer?

lose the banjo, try this...
its 4AN to 1/8"NPT (or 1/4"NPT)
make sure to get a oil restrictor in there so you dont flood the turbo w/ oil...

This is for a BNR stage one. I've been running this turbo for some time without the restrictor. Or are you saying that because of the Banjo delete?
What size is your fitting for the front cover?? Thats the one I can't find a size for. I keep finding different sizes like the ones listed above.
12mm x 1.5 to -4 hose end for the front cover?

what motor do you have? the block fittings are are different sizes....i believe its 12X1.5 for the fc
i dont know if its the banjo delete or removing the rest of the hard line that makes it necessary for the oil restrictor, ive never ran the hard lines or just part of the hard line (it is 2 pieces), i have just read a lot of other peoples experiences.

This is a stock S4 turbo motor. I'll probably just run it the way it is now. Just a straight line from the block to the turbo. If I run into a problem with it then I'll pick up a restrictor.

For Series 4/5: a 12mmx1.5 to -04AN adapter: EAR-9919BFGERL - $9.69
i just remade my lines also, not for a stock turbo but the front housing thread is the same regardless. hope this helps.

I was wondering same thing....
Okay so we now know the size for the front cover fitting, for an FC (12mmx1.5 to -04AN). What are the specs on the resistor for the oil??
I also want to install the BNR Stage 1, what else would be needed for this?
It says it is "bolt up and no modification neccessary", but I like the idea of new steel supply lines, are their return lines too?
I have never upgraded a turbo before, any help on the BNR Stage 1 or new lines would be helpful. Don't mean to threadjack, just didn't want to start another post about same topic. Thanks.
