Turbo And Nos
hello everyone!!!!
i am a new member and i have an 87 rx-7. it has the 13b motor that was converted to carburated, ported complete high flow exhaust. i just bought the car and am still waiting for a list of mods that have been done. i had the car dynoed two days ago and i have 248 rwhp. this isnt to bad except i want to do a turbo and nos. my problem is this.....does anyone know if i can do this on a carburated motor???????????? or is there a super charger that could work w/out having a huge blower through my hood????
thanks in advance for anyone who can help!!!!!!!!!!!!

You should probably ask the 1st-gen guys about turbo'ing (or s'charging) a carb'd car. Not many people here will be able to help you.
You need to find out a little bit more about the car before you think about nitrous - what compression, porting, etc has been done. The N/A 13B takes well to a 75-100 shot, provided you've got the fuel and spark adjustments to run it safely.
Having said that, congrats! 248 RWHP is a LOT of power from an n/a 13b! I'm interested in seeing what setup you've got. Please let us know!

248 RWHP isn't enough? Hahaha You're funny - most TII guys would be VERY happy w/ almost 250 hp.
Seriously, my first suggestion would be to upgrade the suspension - it'll make the car "feel" faster, and it'll be much more of a blast to drive
In any case, good luck and have fun!

Oh do you got the dyno sheet?

Lets see 2600-2700 lbs and 250 rwhp you will be able to beat pretty much any honda out on the road except for the motorcycles. Hell i think that the cars and motorcycles share the same engine.

the guy who originally built the engine said that the car is barely street legal. im still waiting for a list of mods from him though. but i have complete faith that the dyno was accurate. ill post everything once i get.
