Turbo a N/A 90 GXL
Is it possible??
Would the 9.7:1 compression ratio be too high?
Would the 5/6 ports be a problem?
Just curious as to what would be the best way (cheapest) to turbo the FC.
Would I be better off getting a 13b rew and power FC??
Too many questions. lol
Also from what I read the air pump controls the ports.
Would it be possible to remove all the ports and air pump and Not lose power??
I just rebuilt a friend of mines fd and I found a fc for cheap. I have access to just about all the resources (equip,tools,mig,etc..) except for lots of money!

I've never done it but the consensus is that s5 (9.7:1) rotors are more difficult to run turbo on due to the higher compression, you'd need careful tuning and run lower boost levels. Again this is from what I've read, not experience.
Lots of people just remove the actuators and run the ports open all the time.
Best and cheapest are two completely different things... But for the sake of argument, here is a thread that is a nice cheap way to convert your n/a into a TII with 6 ports, basically just an n/a block with TII manifolds and such with a little modification for coolant and oil to the turbo http://www.nopistons.com/forums/inde...47434&hl=turbo <-- Honestly one of the best writeups I've seen for ease of turboing an N/A
