Turbo Lingo help
Can people explain the different models and brands of turbos out there (ie T88, T08, etc.) I know those are probably wrong!
Anyways, what are they, what do they do different, which is preferable on a TII? And anything else people can tell me.
Thanks

for the most part, the bigger the number the bigger the turbo. a t78 is bigger than a t66 is bigger than a t04. actual turbo size classification vaies from each different company, so there are exeptions to the rule.
on a T2 you can pretty much run anything you want. thats bcause rotaries have extremely hot and strong exhaust pulses. these exhaust pulses allow rotaries to spool up just about any turbo you want to. but a god upgrade from stock, with capapbilities to flow up to about 400 or so horses, would be something like a friend of mine on his T2. a turbonetics T04 60-1. big turbo, made great power, and still spooled up quick.

Actually, you have to very careful when talking about different brands of turbos.
Common turbos you might come across:
Mitsubishi TD04, TD05, TD06, T67, T78, T88
Garrett T25, T28, T3, T04B, T04E, 60-1, T04S04 (TS04 or T04S), T-series (includes T61, T64, T66, T70, T72, T76)
IHI RX6, RX9
Blitz (or KKR) K26, K27
Generally speaking, it goes bigger from left to right, but numbers don't mean jack if you're talking two different brands!
