well. I dont know, Ive got a N/A vert, wanting to switch to TII....maybe its not such a bad idea.....would it be wise at all to try to bolt this stuff onto my car?

Still, I think the auction is misleading. Though you can't beat the price. I see it going for over $1000 before the auction ends.

Even the stock T2 engine is only rated for 6.7 PSI boost with stock intake and exhaust . . . and that is only possible in Mazda's view due to its reinforced mechanical design and lower compression ratio. To anyone considering making an N/A motor a turbo conversion, I ask "do you feel lucky?"
I am not an engineer but I know why aircraft engines are so reliable: they are healthily overbuilt for their power ratings. The opposite appears to be the case with heavily modded rotaries.
I was shocked at seeing so many posts on these boards about blown motors. Now after having been here a while I can see that people mod their motors beyond recognition while disregarding the fact that the engine's mechanical structure can only take so much power (and hardly any detonation).
Sadly, there is no "kit" to bolt onto your N/A motor to make it into a Turbo, unless you want a timebomb. Ask the next blown motor poster how much boost s/he was running on that motor designed for 6.7 PSI . . .
