by weight imo, if you can hold it up with one hand with ease, it probably aluminum. If it is pretty heavy, like a normal hood it's probably steel. I have had booth, and it's a HUGH difference. My s4 t2 was steel, my current s5 t2 is aluminum.

I just wouldn't be sure because I've never compared. To think of it, I don't even know if my 323's hood is Al or not.

Seen two steel tII hoods in person. Both were on american market 87 model year cars...

speedoflife: if it is difficult to lift with less than 3-4 fingers you have a steel hood. alum. you should be able to lift no problem with only a couple fingers.

I see. Probably steel then. If I had to guess that would be it, but I wasn't sure.
