Turbo guru type question

If my car has excessive blow by (crankcase pressure) would it be possible for the oil to come out of the turbo around the CHRA and seep out around that area?

Thanks,
Sam

There is a checkvalve with a hose on it that plugs into the back of the turbo inlet duct. Its part of the crankcase purge/vent system. If you had high pressure in the crankcase its possible that oil would be carried from the crankcase thru the checkvalve into the turbo inlet duct. To see if that is/is not your problem, disconnect the hose from the checkvalve and let it just lay there. The check valve will plug the hole in the inlet duct keeping you from having a air leak.

If the oil problem goes away after a period of time, then its excessive crankcase pressure. If the problem persists, then oil is leaking past the compressors oil seal. It's my understanding that anytime pressure is higher in the duct than the oil pressure on the other side of the compressor seal, that oil will leak into the turbo inlet duct. I'm a amateur at turbos so take this with a grain of salt.

So....hows you blow off valve working? Good? Or not so good. It might be part of the problem.
