Hey. Well i am very close to getting everything off. I see how it can actually be easy after you did it once. I thought the bolts were like directly behind the turbo and engineblock kind of...didnt think you could reach them easly. But now that I found them Its really not to bad. But I am having trouble getting to one of the bolts. I got the 2 that r closest to the cat...and the bottom one towards the front but its that top one I cant see anywhere =/ But I will keep feeling and such. Also I noticed it looks like my manifold is actually cracked right where one of the bolts go in...it dosnt look bad but once i get it off I will see some more and take some pictures. Anyways thats all for now ;P also did find my coolant leak. The gasket in the water hose right above the turbo got melted basicly. So I need a new one of those...its the metal hose next to the airhose that goes to the cat. Anyone know where I can get that gasket?

Alright So I got the turbo off now :P its really not that bad now that I know what The **** im doing. Anyways I havnt looked at it much because I am about to eat. But the gasket was also half gone. Which then Im assuming the bolt slowly came off and the other one just loosened up. I will be taking the manifold off tonight after dinner and I will try to get some pictures of them here soon.

Hardest part I thought was getting the damn heatshields off!! they were such a bitch for me =/

Hey man ok so you see it wasent all that bad...Now that you have it off you say it has a crack in it?? Was it on the mani?? If so then more than likely the cause of this was the blown out gasket which did not protect your mani from the imense heat of the exaust gases and is that actualy cracked it. OK and the top water line on the turbo was leaking?? Are you sure it wasent the piping? Get some pics up we can help you some more that way.

By the way tell me what your mods are cuz now would be a great time to look into possibly porting the wastegate on that turbo due to the fact that its so small. If your running mostly stock you wont need to but its a really good idea for someone that is having ANY boost creep issues. Let us know

I dont have much for mods right now. Its a streight pipe 2.5 i believe...(bought it like this) all the way up to the downpipe(firstcat) I am going to be gutting that now that I have it out. Also I have a cone filter intake.

So I am planning to port the wastegate anyways because I want to add a few mods. But I got some pics now...just need to figure out how to upload them. I dont have a pic of where the coolant is leaking. It is leaking right where the pipe connects to the block next to the airpipe.

Can anyone upload some pictures for me? I have no idea how to upload them on here.

Send me an email at jermdawg15@hotmail.com and I will send them back in the morning tomorrow or whenever.

Here are some pics...I hope they work.

https://www.rx7club.com/photo/showph...t=7&thecat=500

This is the left hole on the manifold that connects to the block.

https://www.rx7club.com/photo/showph...t=7&thecat=500

This is on the bend of the manifold where the big circle thing connects to kind of. hard to explain.

And that is actually on the turbo housing that connects to the manifold.

Are these bad? Or would I be able to use them still? I am planning to take them to a machine shop and get them fixed probably :P But just let me know.

Well if your saying your having boost problems id say this could be the cause of your problems...It would be best just to get another manifold and like i said before you can get these pretty cheap. I got one off ebay for 150 or so so i mean there not that bad.

Well the boost problem was because of the gasket that was between the manifold and turbo. I just want to know if those are severe and I shouldnt use them still.

The gasket was completly blown...so there was basicly no gasket, and the bolts were lose, so all the exhaust was leaking out before it even got to the turbo. There for I wasnt boosting like It should be.
