Tried to use a cig tire pump, now cig/clock/rear view mirrors won't work
Hey guys, This sounds really obscure, I'm not even sure what search terms to use, so I could use some personal help.
Currently Im on the road from driving to Sevenstock16, and soon we start our adventure back.
I have yet to check the fuses because we have been running around. In a little bit I will go down there and check them.
I have two tire pumps. I plugged the first one in, it gave one little click on and then stopped. Tried the SECOND pump, it did not work, so we tried the SECOND tire pump in my buddys car and it worked.
Thats when I noticed that the cig lighter, my clock, and my rear view mirrors stopped working.
The next day my buddy used the SECOND tire pump again, and it was working fine then just quit. HIS cig lighter is now not working, and he says HIS fuses are fine. (His mirrors never worked and his clock is still working.)
It sounds strange to have a fuse control all of this, and it just can't be a coincidence for it all to break at one gas station... Does anyone have any input?
Thanks!

You're not supposed to use those type of pumps as there is not enough amperage for them to work properly w/o damaging something. If you read the fine print of the pump instructions it states the amperage has to be at least a specified amount and the RX7 does not meet that requirement.

Actually, it depends on the unit being used as some require more amperage than others. I just checked one made by Slime and it states at least 15 amps. I've seen others which require a fair amount more than 15 amps. Perhaps there are some on the market which can work off of only 10 amps. Do you happen to know which brand you were recently using?
Perhaps such a unit could be clipped on to the battery to be powered sufficiently.
