Transmission problem?
Ok so I get in my car this morning and I notice my clucth feels different when I press the pedal down. It feels like there is a lot less tension and its easier to push in. I think nothing of it and go on my merry way. Well when I get out of my classes and get in my car I really start to notice how mushy the pedal is and how differently it is engaging. So I take it home and about 200 feet from my house I shift into 5th but it wont go in. I put it in nuetral and let off the clutch then push it in and try again. This time it goes but with a grind. So I pull into my drive way and shut the car down. I start it up again and tried putting it in gear but it wouldnt go into any gear. I forcefully put it into third but it made the whole friggin car shake like crazy even with the clutch in. Any ideas what might be causing this? Oh yeah and I have an ACT Street Strip clutch that was put in by Marvelspeed so I know the clutch isnt bad.

its probably your slave or master cylander, after market clutch's are known to be hard on the hydrolics of our cars. Check those first, it doesnt sound like a tranny problem.

Had an 87 that did the exact same fricken thing a couple years back. Ra Ra Rotary is right.....sounds like the master/slave cylinder went on ya, just like it did me.

Also check the rubber clutch lines. Note that you should always replace both the master and slave cylinder at the same time. A strong master will kill a weak slave, and vice versa.

Glad I didnt buy those parts considering that wasnt my problem
Apparently the nut the holds the hose coming off the master cylinder had come loose and I had a small leak, so every time i pressed the clutch brake fluid was coming out. I didnt notice this until I had someone in the car pressing the clutch and saw the fluid coming out. Glad I saw that before spending 100+ bucks at mazdatrix
