TX tranny problems

Clutch seems to be working properly, can shift into all gears, and car moves in all them except first and second car does not move , is a 1986 rx7 than sat for a few years, probally gonna drop the tranny see if there is a obvious problem

those two gears may be out. If the clutch works in one gear it should work in all. So there shouldn't be a problem with the clutch unit.

maybe this could be part of the problem, where the shift lever bolts down to top of tranny, two of the three bolts are stripped out, so i will have to make new holes to get cover down tight, could loss of pressure/ fluid here cause my gear problem

No, they are separate reservoirs.

1-2 use the same fork obviously, so I'd suspect an issue inside the transmission.

looks like i need to pull the bad boy i guess, suppose to be 102 heat index to today, thats in the shade

pulled starter and i can see a loose bolt on clutch assy, still gonna drop tranny
