Tranny/Clutch Question

When i was driving my car today in the rain, I revved it up to 5grand then dumped the clutch in 1st gear. The tires didn't spin and there was no acceleration at all.
So i let off the gas and drove away normally. My brother had a TII and he said when he tried to do a burnout one day he had the same problem. Before and after that there were no problems performing a burnout or dumping the clutch at high RPM.

So im wondering if u guys think this would be a clutch, tranny, or some other related problem.

Is this some sort of activity you participate in often? If so, you probably fried your clutch.

Yea well actaully that was my younger brother using my account because he cant make one. But actually he just bought the car and the owned said the clutch was good (orginal owner, we have papers ). The clutch feels real good otherwise though and when i have driving it before and dumped 'er it caught and was great.

My old TII with a NEW clutch had this problem once also but it was when i was doing a brake stand. I was selling the car so i decided to give it a little beating, but this only happened once out of the handful of times i did it. Like is doesnt happen very often, thats why its weird. I thought my old car was just messed but my brothers did the same also.

Just curious...Because 5k clutch dumping isnt conducive to long clutch life. Not to mention the other things its doing to your car (not to say I havent done it before..).
